Mohini trailer Samadhi Dance Company from Samadhi Dance Company on Vimeo.

Samadhi Dance Company presents a most unique and entirely different production titled ‘Mohini’, a performance filled with light, love and laughter.

After an intense and emotionally charged year due to the passing of Samadhi’s mentor Marutvati Keilman-Jorquera, artistic director Vraja Sundari Keilman felt a strong urge to create an enlivening and playful production counterbalancing the deep and intense production ‘Saranágati’ as well as to celebrate the spirited, colorful and truly inspiring character of Marutvati, embracing another side of the company’s vision.
For this production she decided to introduce more elements of mime, gestural and comical theater plus an innovative use of contemporary dance, break-dance and acrobatics. Also, the addition of a minimal yet characteristic stage design combined with the colorful costumes and always carefully selected music surely brings the audience to a whole new world.

‘Mohini’ – Sanskrit for ‘illusion personified’ – is inspired by poetry of the Persian poet Rumi and the performance tells the vivid story of an absurd yet touching dream. The theme deals with the individual interpretation of events and the illusive quality of this temporary and deceptive world. The viewer is taken on an energetic journey through the unconsciousness of the main character, complimented by an innovative combination of contemporary ballet, break-dance, acrobatics and as mentioned, a touch of comical drama and theater. ‘Mohini’ is dedicated to the Indian goddess Srimati Radharani, the original source of inspiration according to Vedic knowledge and has a total length of 50 minutes. ‘The production is suitable for all ages and promises to leave all viewers with a warm heart, a tickled mind and a generous smile on their face!

–

Cast consist of dancers Annlydie Groenen, Rasarani Keilman, Jeffrey Stuut, Vraja Sundari Keilman, Liam O’Callaghan and actor/singer Chris Kuijken/Caitanya Caran Das known from the charismatic music group Isophone.
Contains music tracks of Cirque du Soleil, Bon Iver, Bonobo, Takagi Masakatsu, Little Dragon and Alexandre Desplat including excerpts from the series ‘Matchless Memories- The Journey Home’ (1996) spoken by HH Tamal Krishna Goswami. Includes a live music performance of the song ‘Are We There Yet’ written by Ingrid Michaelson sung live by Chris Kuijken/Caitanya Caran Das.
Lights by Ronnie van Kempen.
Costumes consists items designed by Upper Mansion, a unique and high quality fashion label based in Hong Kong and available at the Airfashion boutique at Hairfashion Amsterdam by Leo NG.

Footage trailer: Lars Steenhoff
Edit: Vraja Sundari Keilman
Tracks: Cirque du Soleil,Bonobo, Little Dragon, Yann Tiersen.

BlackMagic Cinema Camera Adds the timeless beauty of feature film quality

Elegant, sophisticated and jam packed with the latest digital cinema technology, Blackmagic Cinema Camera gives your work that timeless feature film look! Blackmagic Cinema Camera features an amazing 2.5K image sensor with a wide 13 stops of dynamic range for a true digital film camera. You get a built-in SSD recorder, popular open standard uncompressed RAW and compressed file formats, compatibility with quality EF and ZF mount lenses, LCD touchscreen monitoring plus metadata entry, all packed into an exciting hand held design!

Elegant Design

Cinematographers form a personal relationship with their camera for a creative partnership that can last years and span every location on the planet! Starting with a chassis machined from solid aluminum, capped with a smooth rubber front and rear for easy grip, plus a rear facing touchscreen for easy metadata entry, you get a stylish design that’s optimized for the whole post production workflow. Blackmagic Cinema Camera includes standard jack audio so there are no custom connectors!

Open File Formats

Blackmagic Cinema Camera uses standard file formats, so you don’t need to wait years for your video software to support the media! Recording native 2.5K resolution uses the open CinemaDNG format, so you get full 12-bit RAW recording quality using the built-in SSD recorder, and the benefit of industry wide compatibility. For even greater compatibility you can also choose 1080HD recording into ProRes and DNxHD compressed video formats. Blackmagic Cinema Camera is the only camera to support purely open file formats!

Enter Metadata Easily

The large capacitive touchscreen display makes it incredibly easy to log metadata directly into the camera. When you tap the display with a finger, a data entry window called the “slate” appears. This lets you enter shot information just like typing on a smartphone. This data is then stored in the files so can be accessed by NLE software when editing content later. Metadata is compatible with popular software such as Final Cut Pro X and DaVinci Resolve.

Fast Metadata Entry

Logging file metadata directly into the camera dramatically speeds up the post production process. With the Blackmagic Cinema Camera ‘slate’ you can enter information such as shot number, search tags, scene number, timecode and more! You can even set shot number and other data to increment automatically! Metadata is compatible with leading editing software and is fully searchable so when you’re editing your project you can avoid the time consuming task of searching for specific shots!

It is ideal for situations where you can not compromise the fidelity, such as weddings, photo studio and record landscapes. A resolution of this magnitude gives the photographer the ability to portray even the smallest details with stunning clarity. Every aspect of the sensor of this model was designed to ensure clear images in low light, so it has enhanced features like OLPF converter and a 14 bit A / D to minimize the noise around the picture.

The D800 lives up to Nikon’s reputation of being the sovereign ability to capture in low light thanks to the standard range of ISO 100-6400, expandable to 50 (Lo-1) and 25600 (Hi-2), which helps create gradient amazing colors when shooting JPEG or RAW.

All these image data are directed to a channel of 16 bits for maximum performance. Photographers can also take advantage of the lenses in FX format lenses for more options and increased focal range (1.5X), while still maintaining the clarity and detail in high resolution of 15.3 megapixels (4800×3200).

The D800 has an advanced Scene Recognition System with its array of colors (3D Color Matrix Meter III), which provides precise measurement in the most challenging lighting conditions. At the heart of this system is the innovative RGB sensor that analyzes each scene meticulously, recognizes factors such as light and bright and then compares all the data using the unique database of 30,000 images from Nikon. This new sensor still has the ability to detect faces with high accuracy even when shooting through viewfinder. The Color Matrix Meter also prioritizes the faces detected, allowing the right exposure even when the subject is backlit.

Novelty is also the exclusive image processing engine Nikon’s EXPEED 3, which controls the entire system and is the catalyst behind the responsiveness of the camera’s auto focus and performance. Its features are very practical and functional usable by both filmmakers in the field and in the studio or filmmakers. This signal can be transmitted to a display, digital recording device or routed through a monitor, eliminating the need for multiple connections. The image can also be viewed simultaneously on the LCD screen and an external display screen while excluding the state data of the camera for streaming media.
